James A. Miller was a long-time Cleveland resident and poet. He received a degree from Cleveland State University, but passed away while studying for his master's degree. He wrote over 300 poems and published nearly 50 of them between 1981-1993. Miller also won several poetry contests, including the Gamut Concrete Poetry Contest and Cleveland Magazine's poetry contest, both in 1983.
