Henry Bradford Arthur joined the faculty at Harvard Business School in 1960 after he had worked as a consultant to Chicago packing industry giant Swift & Co. as an economist and for the government shortly after World War II. He became emeriti in 1971 and continued researching and writing into the 1980s. He died in 1993.
