Brooks, J.E.
A.P. Carter, his wife, Sara, and his sister-in-law Maybelle first recorded as the Carter Family in pioneering recording sessions at Bristol, Va., in 1927. They continued to perform and record together until 1941, becoming one of the most influential groups in the country music industry.
