Cran, Marion, 1879-1942
Variant namesAuthor Marion Cran was born in South Africa and educated in England and Ireland. She held several Commonwealth appointments, and was on the staff of both Connoisseur and Burlington Magazine. She published books of poetry, biography, and travel writing, but her passion was gardening, about which she wrote several books and numerous articles. She also founded the Mayfair Garden Club.
