Cincinnati Genealogical Society.
The Cincinnati Genealogical Society was organized in 1930 as a local chapter of the Institute of American Genealogy. Its goals were to foster interest in genealogy and history, to employ a genealogist to assist the members, to provide genealogical research facilities and to concentrate on the collection of genealogical and historical records of the city. Membership was open only to whites.
