Kenneth Hodder Gibson (b. 1911, Salt Lake City, Utah-d. Dec. 27, 1997), U.S. Air Force officer, enlisted in the Army Air Corps in 1933 and later was appointed aviation cadet, earning pilot's wings in 1936. During World War II, he was chief of tactics and techniques in the Directorate of Bombardment before dispatch to the China-Burma-India theater of operations. In May 1944 he was placed in command of the 6th Bombardment Group (B-29), with combat duty in the Mariana Islands, serving with the 20th Air Force. Following the War, he held various posts at headquarters in Washington, D.C., and in the 1950s he commanded the 8th Air Division and the Alaskan Air command. In 1959 he became commander, Chicago Air Defense Sector and Chicago NORAD Sector. He retired from Air Force service in July 1966.
