Codman, Katherine Putnam Bowditch.
Born into a prominent Boston family, Codman married Amory Codman and supported such unpopular causes as birth control and Sacco and Vanzetti. Dr. Alice Hamilton lived with the Codmans while she taught at Harvard Medical School (1919-1935).
