May, Sydney, 1882-1968
Variant namesSydney May was a music teacher, concert artist, examiner and lecturer. He lived in Ipswich and was a noted church organist. He was a full time examiner and lecturer at the University of Queensland until his retirement in 1952. He founded the Council of Music and Drama in 1964. He was also a member of the Queensland Place Names Committee.
