Hugh Evan-Thomas
Hugh Evan-Thomas was born on 27 October 1862. He joined Britannia in 1876 before embarking on a cruise on board Bacchante as midshipman. He served as secretary to the First Lord of the Admiralty form 1905 onwards. He took part in the battle of Jutland during the First World War (1914-1918). He died in 1928.
