Milton Bryant, brother of Clara Ford (Mrs. Henry Ford), was a Michigan state representative from Grand Traverse County and president of the Grand Traverse Auto Company. Bryant graduated as a pharmacist from the Detroit College of Medicine in 1898 and spent five years as a chemist for a wholesale drug company in Louisville, Kentucky, followed by three years in the creamery business in Wayne County, Michigan. He went on the road as a traveling salesman for the Ford Motor Company and soon after was named agent for the Grand Traverse Auto Company. In 1924 he was elected to the state legislature and re-elected in 1926. He died in 1928. Milton Bryant was married to Bernice Robertson in 1912.
