Kentucky Baptist historian. Pastored several churches in Kentucky and held revivals in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri, and Tennessee. Authored two-volume History of Kentucky Baptists in 1886 and was a contributor to William Cathcart's Baptist Encyclopedia (1881).
