Pinckney family.
Charles Cotesworth Pinckney (1789-1865), a Charleston, South Carolina planter, also served as lieutenant governor of South Carolina (1832-1834), and married Phoebe Caroline Elliott. Their son Charles Cotesworth Pinckney (1812-1899), an Episcopal minister, was born in Beaufort, South Carolina, and became rector of Grace Episcopal Church (1854-1898) in Charleston. His siblings were: Caroline (1816-1892), Thomas (1828-1915), and Mary Elliott (1833-1912).
