Lawrence Marx is a World War II veteran from Flint, Michigan. He is a former president of the Eleventh Air Force Association. Marx served at Nome Air Base, also called Marks Field, during World War II. Marks Field was a United States Army Air Force base used for the Lend-Lease of aircraft to Russia during World War II, and later as a United States Air Force base until its closure in 1950.
