Anglican clergyman, of Simsbury and Granby, Conn.; suspected of being a loyalist during the American Revolution and fined and sentenced to a year in jail for allegedly feeding loyalists who had escaped from Newgate Prison; after the war, left for Digby, Nova Scotia in 1787.
