Born at Emporia, Kan., school teacher in Olathe Kan., taught at North Dakota School for the Deaf, Devils Lake, N.D. in 1896. Married Clark W. Kelley, 1897, Devils Lake businessman, mayor, and farmer. Took over management of his farm, known as Beach Place and also as the White Farm. Latter name referred to her white livestock and pets. She specialized in Shorthorn cattle, Yorkshire hogs, and white Holland turkeys. A gift bull from James J. Hill was the foundation sire of her cattle. Active in state and national agricultural organizations, promoted good farming practices and improvement of grains and livestock. Mr. Kelley died in 1921; she later married George W. Hollister, 1924. They retired to Emporia, Kan., later Tampa, Fla.
