Research on the the life and career of aviation pioneer Edward Chalmers Huffaker.

Huffaker was born in 1856 and graduated from Emory and Henry College, Emory, Va., and later earned a master's degree from the University of Virginia at Charlottesville. Huffaker was a public school teacher until the 1890s, when he began working as a civil engineer in Bristol, Tenn.
