Brenizer, Addison Gorgas, b. 1839.
Addison Gorgas Brenizer (b. 1839) of Charlotte, N.C., was a businessman and served in the Confederate army. His mother-in-law was Juliana Paisley Gilmer, wife of John Adams Gilmer of Greensboro, N.C., lawyer; legislator; Whig candidate for governor of North Carolina, 1856; United States congressman, 1857-1861; Confederate congressman, 1864; and delegate to the Union National Convention of Conservatives in Philadelphia, Pa., 1866.
