Bowdler, Thomas, 1705-1785.
Thomas Bowdler was a British Admiralty officer, a conscientious Jacobite, and keeper of the accounts of his mother-in-law, Lady Jane Cotton. John Bowdler (1746-1823) was Thomas's son and a writer on religious and church affairs.
