Boggs, Hester Prince.
Daughter of Jane Prince, housekeeper at Fort Hill for Thomas G. Clemson from 1882 until his death April 6, 1888. She and her mother were devoted to Clemson. Essie married Harold Boggs, Calhoun, South Carolina, and her mother lived with them in her old age. "Essie" is a nickname for Hester. She and her mother lived at Fort Hill until 1893.
