Robertson, John William, b. 1894.
2nd Lieutenant (2LT) John W. Robertson was born in Holly, Colorado, in 1894 and began his U.S. Army service in 1915 with D Company, 1st Separate Battalion of Colorado Infantry. He was commissioned as a 2nd lieutenant on 16 October 1918. His stateside training included the Machine Gun Training School at Camp Hancock, Georgia. His final assignment was to a quartermaster detachment at Camp Hancock. He was awaiting an assignment to the Philippine Scouts when the World War I ended. Robertson was discharged from the Army in December 1918.
