Cook, Benjamin Franklin, b. 1867.
William Clarke Quantrill was the leader of a band of guerrillas with Confederate sympathies in Kansas and Missouri during the Civil War. In 1862, the band was mustered into the Confederate Army. Quantrill was killed by Federal forces in 1865. Benjamin Franklin Cook's father, Samuel B. Cook, was a member Companies B and M of the Kansas Cavalry.
