Kansans for ERA.
Housewives for E.R.A., or H.E.R.A., was a national organization that existed for housewives to advocate for the Equal Rights Amendment, an amendment that would forbid discrimination at any level based upon sex. The effort first started in 1923 and was introduced to Congress every year following until its expiration in 1982. Kansans for ERA was the state chapter of this organization.
