Garcilaso de la Vega, called El Inca (born in Cuzco, Peru, 1539? and died in Spain, 1616), was a Peruvian historian. Originally composed for piano, 1937; transcribed 1937. This composition is the second movement of the composer's Suite Cuzquena. Won First Prize of the Committee for the Celebration of the 4th Centenary of the Birth of Garcilaso de la Vega, Peru, 1939.--Cf. Fleisher Collection.
