The Rocky Mount Historical Association is a not-for-profit, educational organization, chartered in 1958, which governs the Rocky Mount Museum.
This living-history museum in Piney Flats, Tennessee interpretes frontier era life. Rocky Mount was home to William Cobb. It served as a United States territorial capitol for the Southwest Territory from 1790-1792, when Governor William Blount took up residence.
