Shelby County Cooperative Association
Variant namesThe Shelby County Cooperative Association is thought to have been the only grocery store in Timpson, Tex., in the 1890s, and was apparently associated with the Patrons of Husbandry. The store was run by George Newton Weaver, a merchant, Civil War soldier, preacher, dentist, doctor, and surveyor.
