Cobb, James E. (James Edward), 1835-1903
Variant namesCobb was a native of Georgia, graduated from Emory College, and practiced law prior to moving to Texas in 1857. From there he served in the Confederate Army, but settled in Alabama after the war. In Alabama he was a circuit judge 1874-1886, and served as a U.S. Representative from 1886-1896.
