Partners in Mission: FOCUS, the periodical for Partners in Mission (PIM), began with its first issue in November 1975. It was a brochure format and was published monthly except for August. Starting in April 1977, it was published monthly except for February, May, August, and November. Its editor was Richard E. Mueller, also managing editor of the Evangelical Lutherans in Mission (ELIM) publication Missouri in Perspective. In June of 1978, Partners in Mission: FOCUS changed its format, name, frequency, and editor. It became Focus on People in Mission. It was a tabloid format, published eight times per year, and its editor was Bernie Marquardt. Volume 9 had nine issues, and volume 10, which included a portion of 1987, had only three. Focus on People in Mission published its last issue on November 21, 1987.
