Safford, Elizabeth Curtis, 1816-
Variant namesElizabeth Curtis was born in Granville, N.Y.; she attended Middlebury Female Seminary in Middlebury, Vt.; moved to Gennessee County, Mich., and married Orrin Safford in 1839. Her sister Salome lived in Detroit when she made notes on English history "while Libbie was a baby and I an invalid."
