Werner Neupert. Physicist. Research in solar physics and spectroscopy. While at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's Goddard Space Flight Center, Neupert was an essential part of the US Orbiting Solar Observatory (OSO) program. This program launched a series of eight satellites between 1962 and 1971 to collect data on the sun and to study solar flares.
