Gambardella, Spiridione (British painter, active 1842-1868)
Variant namesSpiridione Gambardella, Italian-born portrait painter. Originally an operatic tenor, he painted portraits in New York and Boston from 1835 to 1840 before relocating to Britain. He exhibited at the Royal Academy and the British Institution from 1842 to 1852.
