Georgios of Crete.
Eugenios Voulgaris was a teacher, an archbishop, and a scholar. He was a student of Voltaire, a pivotal figure of the Greek Enlightenment, and culture minister for Catherine the Great. He taught at the Athonias Academy on Mount Athos in 1753-1759.
