Northside Neighborhood Association (Iowa City, Iowa).

Hide Profile

The Northside Neighborhood Association was formed to promote the preservation of Iowa City's oldest neighborhood, a 64 block area north of the central business district and east of the University of Iowa campus. The Association has worked with Iowa City's neighborhood services coordinator and other city officials on issues such as street paving, a neighborhood watch program, a proposed heliport at Mercy Hospital, traffic, an adopt-a-park program and recycling. The Association sponsors an annual neighborhood fair, engages in historic preservation efforts, and gets involved with city council elections.
