St. Paul and Northern Pacific Railway Company.
Incorporated as the Western Railroad Company in 1874 under the state laws of Minnesota, the company owned and operated several railway lines throughout Minnesota. The company changed its name in 1883, thereafter beginning an extensive building operation until it was deeded to NP in 1896.
