Reid, William Andrew.

William Andrew Reid was the son of John Hope Reid and Ruth Welman Reid of Savannah, Georgia. During the Civil War he was Captain of Company I of the 1st Louisiana Infantry Regiment of the Army of Tennessee. He also served as Assistant Inspector General on General Bragg's staff. Reid was wounded in the battles of Murfreesboro and Shiloh. He married Aurelia Murray Wheeler in Mobile, Alabama, on December 17, 1867.
