Grimsley family.
The Grimsley family was from Culpeper County, Virginia. Daniel A. Grimsley, senior, was a county judge; his son used the middle name Amon. Daniel Amon Grimsley served as an officer in the Confederate Cavalry. He married his cousin, Bettie Browning, at the end of the war.
