North Carolina State University. Dept. of Physics.
The Department of Physics at North Carolina State University dates back to the early years of the twentieth century. It was one of the original departments in the School (later College) of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, which was established in 1960. Physics had previously been under the School of Engineering. The department played an important role in the development of the nuclear reactor at NC State.
