Turchin, Nadine, 1826-1904.
Russian immigrant, the wife of Civil War General John Basil Turchin, with whom she came to the United States in 1856, eventually settling in Mattoon, Illinois. In the Civil War she accompanied her husband during his career as an important military figure.
They lived their later years in Radom, Illinois.
