Chandler, Elva M., 1900-1990.
Elva Chandler was a businesswoman of Wilmington and Mt. Cuba, Delaware. She worked in the Pigments Dept. of E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Company during the 1940s and 1950s and at the Delaware Trust Company from 1959 to 1969. She also owned and operated Hartmann's Store, a general store in Mt. Cuba, north of Wilmington. In 1957 she operated a card and gift shop in Wilmington called "The Charm." Chandler was an active clubwoman, active in many women's professional, church, and political organizations and president of the local Business and Professional Women's Club.
