Rio Grande Western Railway Company
Variant namesFounded May 16, 1889 as a consolidation of the Denver & Rio Grande Western (D & RGW) Railway and the State Line & Denver (SL & D) Railway. Converted the former D & RGW narrow-gauge lines to standard-gauge. In 1902 consolidated with Denver & Rio Grande and ceased to operate as a separate organization.
