Richard Craig joined Pennsylvania State University on January 1, 1963 as an instructor and became assistant professor in October, 1963 and associate professor in July, 1971. He retired as Professor Emeritus of Plant Breeding and the J. Franklin Styer Professor Emeritus of Horticultural Botany on January 1, 2003 with forty years of service to the University.
