Paul William Scheidecker (b. 1914, N.Y., N.Y.-d. May 16, 1964), U.S. Air Force officer, graduated from West Point in 1937. He served as an aviation ordnance student officer, and then commander, 346th Ordnance Company (Aviation), a unit training for overseas duty, beginning in 1940. He was appointed staff ordnance officer, 11th Air Force HQ, in Alaska, followed by assignment as staff ordnance officer, XI Air Force Service Command (ASC), also in Alaska. Following ASC assignments in the U.S., he went overseas in 1944 as staff ordnance officer for Army Air Forces HQ, India-Burma Theater, and for China-Burma-India ASC HQ in India. In 1945 he moved to the China Theater in Chungking in the same position. General Scheidecker received a master's degree from the Harvard Business School in 1948 and moved into financial positions. In 1953 he became assistant deputy for comptroller, Far East Air Forces HQ in Tokyo, Japan, then became deputy for comptroller. He assumed command of the Air Force Accounting and Finance Center in 1960.
