Webb Institute of Naval Architecture
Variant namesWilliam H. Webb founded Webb's Academy and Home for Shipbuilders in 1889; it opened at its Bronx location in 1893. In 1947 it moved to the former Herbert Pratt residence at Glen Cove, N.Y., discontinuing the Home for Shipbuilders.
