Family historian, researcher, teacher and author. Mrs Ann Smith (née Broadhead) grew up in Bungonia, New South Wales, and attended Wagga Wagga Teacher's College, 1948-1950. She taught Infant's School for 37 years. Smith's main genealogical interest is the Broadhead family and her local history research has focussed on the Goulburn-Marulan-Bungonia area of New South Wales. She has published Bungonia district cemetary & burial records: a list of people who died or are buried in the Bungonia area, 1829-1992 (with Moira McGinty, 1993), and, Sydney & Darlinghurst Gaol, Dec. 1819-Jan. 1828: primary source: Archives Office of N.S.W.: index to inmates (1998).
