Southern Baptist Convention Sermon.
Since 1845 when the Southern Baptist Convention formed, the annual or convention sermon has been an important part of the meeting. A preacher, along with an alternate, are elected to preach the convention sermon each year.
Porter Routh, the Executive Secretary of the Executive Committee, collected these materials as part of a research project.
