Heide, H. Jack.
Harold E. Heide was born in Winslow, Arizona, on 20 August 1898. Trained as a mining engineer at the University of California at Berkeley, he worked in the mining industry in California and Mexico (1926-1934), the Philippine Islands (Mineral Resources Co., Camarines Norte, 1935-1941), northern Alaska (U.S. Bureau of Mines, 1942-1945), and again in the Philippines (Suricon Mining Co., Mindanao, 1946-1961). He died on 3 July 1961.
