Watson, Mary Beatrice.

Mary Beatrice Oxnam married Captain Robert Watson in 1880. He was engaged in beche-de-mer fishing and in September 1881 left Mrs Watson with their baby and Chinese servants on Lizard Island. During his absence Mrs Watson was attacked by Aborigines and escaped in an iron tank used for boiling beche-de-mer. The bodies of Mrs Watson, her baby and the Chinese servant were found and later buried in Cooktown.
