University of Iowa. Institute of Gerontology
Variant namesThe Institute of Gerontology was established in 1953, in recognition of Iowa's responsibility to its people with relationship to the problem of an increasing number of older citizens. As a research and information center, its goal was to gather and disseminate material to local organizations which were engaged in planning programs for the aged. The institute closed in 1971.
