American Association of University Professors. University of Florida Chapter
Since its formation in 1915, the American Association of University Professors has served as an important representative body, articulating the interests and concerns of teachers and research scholars. The AAUP-Florida, established in 1930 by twenty-three members of the University of Florida faculty, has taken a most active role in promoting and protecting established professional standards.

The University of Florida Chapter of the American Association of University Professors was established in 1930 by 23 members of the faculty. The Association took an active role in promoting and protecting professional standards and articulating the concerns of the faculty body.
