Hide Profile

The Field Services Division was established in 1967 as the collecting arm of the State Historical Society. Its staff traveled in and outside the state to encourage, inspect, and acquire gifts and kept records on all donors and prospective donors of artifacts, photographs, manuscripts, and publications.

In 1982 the field services function was split and absorbed within the archives (see WIHV86-A1191), library (see WIHV86-A1853), and museum (see WIHV86-A2049) divisions.
