Barbara Carrasco (1955-) is a painter and muralist from Los Angeles, Calif.

Carrasco was born in El Paso, Tex., and a resident of the Los Angeles area since 1956. She is best known for her work inspired by the United Farm Workers Union, by her experiences as a Chicana, by historical events, and by personal issues.

Carrasco was born in El Paso, Texas, and a resident of the Los Angeles area since 1956. She is best known for her work inspired by the United Farm Workers Union, by her experiences as a Chicana, by historical events, and by personal issues. Her electronic computer-animated "Pesticide" was displayed on the Spectacolor lightboard at Times Square in 1989, while her other pieces have been exhibited at MIT Visual Arts Center, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and the Museo Estudio Diego Rivera in Mexico City.
